TNTET Exam Syllabus 2022: Applications are invited only through online mode for Teacher Eligibility Test, Paper – I, and Paper – II for the year 2022 from the eligible candidates in Tamil Nadu.

TNTET Educational Qualification:
Minimum Educational Qualifications to write TNTET Paper-I (for classes I-V):
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. |

Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TNTET. |

The date, time, and center for the Written Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Tickets for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the TRB on its official website. The candidates are advised to refer to the TRB website for details (http://www.trb.tn.nic.in). No written communication will be sent to the candidate.

- Number of questions: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Duration of Examination: 3 Hours

Note: For Sl.No. I, iv, and v Candidate to select the option of Medium of Question Paper as Tamil or English.
- Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning, relevant to the age group of 6 – 11 years.
- Language-I will focus on the proficiencies related to the Medium of Instruction. The candidate has to choose any one of the languages
mentioned in Sl.No.(ii) above in Paper-I table. For recruitment, process candidates shall be eligible for the vacancies in the concerned medium only. - Language-II English will focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities.
- Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities, and pedagogical understanding of these subjects.
- The questions in the TNTET Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for Classes I – V but their difficulty level, as well as linkages, will be up to the Secondary Stage.

How to Apply for TNTET Exam – Procedure to Apply:
- Candidates should apply only through online mode in the TRB website ttp://www.trb.tn.nic.in
- Use separate applications for Paper-I and Paper-II.
- Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent color passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size 20-60 KB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 KB) separately. The online application should be uploaded with the photograph and signature of the candidate with complete information.
- A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number are mandatory for registration and an e-mail id should be kept active till the declaration of results
- All the particulars mentioned in the online application including name of the candidate, paper applied, communal category, date of birth, address, and all other fields will be considered as final. Candidates are requested to fill out the online application form with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained. Incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected.
- The online application can be submitted up to 13.04.2022 till 05.00 p.m. after which the link gets disabled.
- Candidates are only fully responsible for all the details and documents submitted along with the application. Candidates have to go through all the instructions carefully and carefully fill up details and upload documents.
- The online application without the candidate’s photograph and signature and incomplete information will be rejected.
- No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be
entertained under any circumstances
TNTET Exam Fee:
- The Examination fee is Rs. 500/- for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST, and Person with Disability. For SC, SCA, ST, and Person with Disability Candidates, the examination fee is Rs. 250/-. Since the examination fee is different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community / Person with Disability category. Once the payment is made, it will not be refunded.
- Online payment to be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking/Credit Card / Debit Card)
- Offline mode of payment in any form such as Demand Draft / Postal order, etc. will not be accepted.
- The candidates, who want to appear for both Paper-I and Paper-II, should pay separately for both.
TNTET Exam Result:
The Roll-Number-wise Mark List of all candidates will be published on the website of the Teachers Recruitment Board viz. http://www.trb.tn.nic.in A press release will be issued in this connection through print or visual media.
